A HPE Aruba Networking Case Study

Preview of the Fraser Public Schools Case Study

5,300+ students gain 1:1 iPad access plus BYOD support with Aruba’s WLAN and ClearPass

Fraser Public Schools in Michigan aimed to expand its 1:1 and BYOD initiative by providing Apple iPads to over 5,300 students and ensuring reliable, district-wide wireless access across 12 buildings. The district needed to replace limited Wi‑Fi hotspots with a high-performance, secure network that would support classroom mobility, Apple AirPlay and role-based device access.

Working with Aruba and its partners, Fraser deployed about 450 Aruba access points, redundant controllers, Aruba AirGroup for Apple TV/AirPlay support and ClearPass Policy Manager for centralized, role-based access. The result: a successful fall rollout of student iPads and ~300 Apple TVs, device-centric classrooms, easier IT management, strong iOS support, cloud-enabled productivity via Office 365 and long-term ROI while preparing students for college and careers.
