Sparebanken Vest, Norway’s third largest savings bank with more than 700 employees, wanted to move beyond basic cybersecurity awareness training. The bank’s security team struggled with low participation rates and couldn’t easily tell whether employees were actually learning to recognize phishing and other real-world threats. To address the human risk element, Sparebanken Vest looked for a fully automated, more engaging approach and chose Hoxhunt.

Hoxhunt implemented its cybersecurity engagement platform, which was live in the bank’s Office 365 environment within an hour. The solution provided adaptive phishing simulations, multiple attack types and languages, and training tailored to each employee’s level. Results included improving participation toward a goal of more than 80%, better reporting of simulated threats, and increased reporting of real phishing emails that bypassed security filters.
