Port of Antwerp-Bruges creates safe harbor from social engineering

Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Europe’s second-largest port and a critical part of Belgium’s infrastructure, needed to strengthen its cyber resilience against increasingly sophisticated phishing and social engineering attacks. Its Cyber Resilience Department wanted to move beyond basic awareness training and improve employee behavior, reporting, and overall human cyber-risk management.

Hoxhunt replaced the port’s legacy security awareness training tool with an AI-enabled security behavior change platform featuring personalized, gamified phishing simulations and automated incident response. The result was a more than 40% increase in the awareness/human risk score, a stable awareness level above 90%, 2,200 malicious emails reported in the previous year, and more than two-thirds of active participants reporting at least one real email attack, helping save SOC analyst resources.
