The German Federal Agency for Civic Education saw the future of network-building is digital

The German Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) needed to rethink how to run its Networking European Citizenship Education (NECE) conference when COVID-19 made in-person events difficult. Working with vendor Howspace, the agency looked for a digital way to engage people and organizations online and support the network-building process.

Howspace helped bpb create a digital campus environment for NECE, with more than 30 smaller events leading up to the three-day conference. The result was co-created documentation, broader participation from a global audience beyond Europe, and a new co-creation mindset and working methods that NECE has continued to use for years.

The German Federal Agency
