Powering systems change through collaboration and innovation

Manitoba HIV-STBBI Collective Impact Network (CINetwork) needed a way to move its large annual spring event online while still creating an engaging, fun, and collaborative experience. As in-person gatherings were no longer possible, the network wanted to avoid a traditional Zoom-style meeting and instead build an energizing virtual space for participants to connect and explore stigma and the “isms” around HIV and STBBIs. Howspace was selected as the platform to help make that happen.

Using Howspace, along with professional facilitation from Paul Nunesdea, the team designed a theatre-themed virtual event with interactive spaces, pre-engagement questions, and AI-supported aggregation of participant input. The event was successful: 80% of participants were very satisfied, 80% said it met expectations, the NPS was 60, 85% made a connection, and 75% spoke with a potential collaborator. Howspace helped Manitoba HIV-STBBI deliver an engaging online event that left participants energized rather than fatigued.
