Case Study: Our Living Waters boosts engagement and co-creation with Howspace

Making digital work more engaging and enlivening

Our Living Waters is a collaborative non-profit network working toward healthier waters across Canada, and it needed a better way to support meaningful interaction in its increasingly virtual and hybrid collaborations. After the pandemic, the team wanted a digital facilitation tool to re-energize engagement, strengthen connections across its member network, and help make a planned two-day pre-conference more dynamic and inclusive.

Howspace provided the solution with its digital facilitation platform, which Our Living Waters used to create pre-event dialogue, gather ideas asynchronously, and co-create objectives and next steps during the conference. The result was stronger momentum, more engaged participation, and actionable plans that brought four new people onto the planning committee; Howspace also helped reduce the weight of in-meeting facilitation by enabling more work to happen between sessions, and Our Living Waters plans to expand its use of Howspace across other network activities.
