Howspace transformed JHL’s member involvement and meeting management for good

JHL, Finland’s largest trade union for the public and welfare sectors, needed a better way to reach its 165,000 members across the country and strengthen cooperation among them. As meeting practices also needed updating during the shift to remote work in 2020, the union turned to Howspace to support member engagement and meeting management.

Howspace enabled JHL to create regional online forums, streamline remote and hybrid meetings, and distribute materials, agendas, registrations, voting, and hearing requests digitally. The result was stronger participation, easier access to member voices across Finland, paperless meeting administration, and more efficient use of staff time, with better inclusion for people who could not easily attend in person.
