How Nyenrode University created an online learning environment

Nyenrode Business University, the Netherlands’ only private business university, needed a way to move from in-person teaching to online courses while building a complete digital learning environment. Using Howspace, the university looked for a more sustainable and engaging alternative to sharing documents and presentations, and a platform that could support both students and faculty in a virtual setting.

Howspace became the blueprint for Nyenrode’s online courses and later its blended classes, combining online learning with a few physical meetings. The result was a more efficient learning model, a wider reach beyond the university’s traditional geographic area, and better collaboration through online knowledge-sharing and case work. Nyenrode now uses Howspace as a central hub for students to meet, connect, and learn.
