A Hotelogix Case Study
New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, needed a better way to teach hospitality students the technology used in modern hotels. Instructor Mitchell Haskins found demo versions and a server‑based PMS limited—access was inconsistent, updates were cumbersome, and students could only practice in the lab—so he sought a solution that would let students learn hotel operations in real time and practice outside class.
NBCC implemented Hotelogix’s cloud‑based property management system, setting up 50 virtual rooms and using built‑in guides and support. Students can create reservations, run reports, and complete the guest cycle from home, freeing class time for customer service, communication, and critical thinking. The result is more realistic, hands‑on learning, easier system maintenance and updates, and better preparation for employment in automated hotel environments.
