These issues made it difficult to align leaders around a clear plan for improving surgical performance and managing future growth.

Using Hospital IQ’s predictive tools and simulations, Hendrick improved OR utilization and made better data-driven decisions about expansion, case leakage, and growth. The results included 1,300 net new cases in the first 8 months, a 15% increase in surgical block utilization, 30 hours of perioperative leadership time saved per month, and operational improvements such as restructuring nurse shifts and justifying the purchase of a second surgical robot.
