Upgrading Data Analysis Platform Together With System Integration

Lixil, a leading global housing and building company, needed to build a new information analysis platform to support its post-merger IT system integration and growing Big Data and IoT needs. Working with Hortonworks, Lixil chose the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) to process and analyze internal and external data more efficiently and at lower cost.

Hortonworks implemented an HDP-based platform using components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, and Ambari, integrated with SAP HANA for operational data. The solution improved data governance and enabled more consistent KPIs, while also supporting faster analysis, flexible scaling, and future IoT use cases; Lixil expects the platform to help drive a “One True Number” approach and better business decision-making.
