Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) wanted to become a more data-driven organization while creating new value-added services for customers. To do that, it turned to Hortonworks and Microsoft Azure HDInsight for its Big Data analysis platform, supporting its Truckonnect tele-diagnosis service for the “Super Great” truck line.

Hortonworks helped implement and stabilize the platform through Hortonworks Professional Services, enabling real-time analysis of vehicle sensor and backend data. The result was Truckonnect, which provides remote vehicle diagnosis, faster repairs, improved fuel efficiency, and better operational insights, while also significantly reducing companywide information management costs.
