From Bare Metal to Hyperscale INAP Manages Onward Vet’s Transition to AWS

Onward Vet is a SaaS platform that helps veterinary clinics manage records and operations from any device. Originally hosted on INAP’s managed Bare Metal servers, the company rapidly grew to 500+ clinics and needed instant scalability and more predictable performance, prompting a migration to AWS despite limited in-house cloud experience.

INAP’s Managed AWS team planned and implemented the migration, tailoring the architecture (moving from a standard RDS approach to Microsoft SQL Server on fault-tolerant EC2 instances) and configuring VPCs, networks, security, S3, SES and failover. INAP now provides 24/7 monitoring, provisioning and managed disaster-recovery, removing day-to-day infrastructure burden, supporting Onward Vet’s global customer base and positioning the company for continued growth.
