Regina International Airport Uses NodeZero to Close Gaps, Improve Efficiency

Regina International Airport, Canada’s 15th busiest airport with more than 1,700 corporate IP addresses, faced the challenge of managing highly segmented and diverse systems — from airline common-use systems to baggage and public Wi‑Fi — while needing regular, actionable penetration testing. To address this, the airport turned to Horizon3.ai’s autonomous pentesting product, NodeZero, to test segmentation assumptions and find where networks were leaking or interacting.

Horizon3.ai implemented NodeZero so the airport could run internal, repeatable pentests (now performed monthly on targeted segments), producing proof of exploitable vulnerabilities, context-based scoring for prioritization, and portable virtual appliances for easy deployment. The result: concrete evidence of inter‑segment leakage, better prioritization of firmware and hardware replacements, faster remediation guidance for third parties, and a more cost‑effective cadence of testing (NodeZero’s annual fee equaled the cost of a prior single contracted pentest), all delivered by Horizon3.ai.
