Understanding the Anomalous Curve in Online Learning

The University of Florida needed a better way to understand and manage academic integrity in an online psychology course taught by Ryan P. Mears, PhD. After seeing unusually high exam scores and limited visibility into how students were approaching online assessments, the university turned to Honorlock remote proctoring for help.

Honorlock provided remote proctoring, analytics, and real-time recording that helped Mears identify answer-sharing, redesign weak test questions, and better understand student behavior during exams. The result was a more reliable grading curve, stronger evidence of academic misconduct when needed, and greater confidence that academic integrity was being upheld.
