Festool Migration from BMC Control-M to BatchMan

Festool, the German premium power tools manufacturer, needed a more transparent and flexible way to manage SAP job automation after moving its SAP landscape to Rödl & Partner. Previously using BMC Control-M, the company could not easily view detailed job information directly in SAP, and it wanted a simpler, central way to control SAP and non-SAP jobs. Rödl & Partner recommended HONICO’s BatchMan to meet these requirements.

HONICO implemented BatchMan to replace Control-M and centralize job control, monitoring, alerting, and scheduling across Festool’s SAP ERP, BI, and HR systems. The migration was completed quickly and successfully, with improved transparency, easier administration, and the ability for IT staff to independently check job details in SAP. By removing obsolete jobs and increasing parallelization, Festool also significantly accelerated processing and reduced time lost when jobs terminated, while benefiting from stable batch processing fully integrated into SAP.
