Emmi controls the entire Order Processing with BatchMan

Emmi, the leading Swiss milk processor and premium dairy producer, needed a better way to manage increasingly complex SAP background jobs as it rolled out SAP across multiple production facilities. With order processing driven by high-volume EDI traffic and tight delivery windows, standard SAP job control created risks of blocked jobs, data inconsistencies, and manual effort—especially around maintenance windows and time changes. Emmi turned to HONICO’s BatchMan to address these SAP job automation challenges.

HONICO implemented BatchMan to provide centralized, transparent control of SAP jobs across ten systems, including serial and parallel job-chain processing, monitoring, and easier handling of maintenance tasks. The solution was installed quickly across test, production, QA, and pre-production environments, and Emmi now manages about 1,300 jobs in SAP systems and 33,000 jobs daily in production. With HONICO BatchMan, Emmi reduced job aborts and error messages and cut processing time by about one third, while also improving transparency and simplifying maintenance windows and time changes.
