A HONICO Case Study
K+S was looking for a better way to organize SAP background processes as its environment grew more complex. The company faced long-running, non-parallel report chains, difficult dependency management, and limited ability to react when jobs failed or prerequisites were missing. To address these issues, K+S turned to HONICO and its BatchMan solution for centralized batch job scheduling.
HONICO implemented BatchMan to control, monitor, and automate SAP jobs with rules for timing, dependencies, and error handling. The solution helped K+S use background processes more efficiently, improve job reliability, and automatically deliver reports as PDF files to the intranet. While the case study does not provide numeric metrics, it states that processing times were reduced in effect through better use of available resources and that the workload became much easier to manage.
