Centralized End-to-End Automation and Monitoring at Sharp with BatchMan & File & DataManager

Sharp, a long-time HONICO customer, needed a way to automate new data interfaces between its SAP ERP systems and SFTP servers for internal and external data exchanges. The company wanted to support processes such as order processing, delivery note creation, invoice creation, and master data transfer without adding another SFTP server, while also keeping everything centrally traceable and monitorable. HONICO’s BatchMan and File & DataManager (FDM) were used to address this challenge.

HONICO implemented File & DataManager as an add-on to BatchMan, enabling Sharp to automate file transfers directly within its existing SAP landscape and consolidate monitoring in one central system. The solution was installed quickly, with Sharp setting up its first interface in about one hour and going live after a short one-week test phase. As a result, Sharp saved valuable implementation time, avoided a separate middleware solution, and achieved centralized control and monitoring of additional interfaces and processes.
