Case Study: Schwarzkopf achieves faster batch job processing with HONICO BatchMan

A HONICO Case Study

Preview of the Schwarzkopf Case Study

By introducing BatchMan, Schwarzkopf‘s batch processes with long lead times were reduced from 72 hours to less than 4 hours.

Schwarzkopf Professional, part of the Henkel Group, needed a better way to control complex SAP batch processes after migrating from SAP R/2 to SAP R/3. The company wanted transparent job monitoring, optimal use of resources, and automated handling of up to 300 background jobs per day with minimal administrator effort. To address this, Schwarzkopf turned to HONICO and its SAP-integrated BatchMan job control solution.

HONICO implemented BatchMan, a 100% ABAP-based system for central planning, control, monitoring, and documentation of SAP and non-SAP processes. The solution enabled parallel processing and automated recovery functions, reducing long-running jobs such as price calculations from 72 hours to less than 4 hours. With BatchMan, Schwarzkopf also cut daily supervision to about one hour while scaling automated job management to 300 jobs per day.
