Yellowhead Helicopters praises performance and reliability

Yellowhead Helicopters, based in British Columbia and Alberta, has supported forestry, mining, petroleum, utility, and tourism operations for more than 40 years. The company needed reliable aircraft performance for demanding hot-and-high missions, including heli-skiing, firefighting, and exploration work, and turned to Honeywell-powered Eagle 407HP helicopters using the HTS900 engine.

Honeywell’s HTS900 engine was implemented on Yellowhead Helicopters’ two Eagle 407HPs, giving the fleet strong performance, reliability, and easier maintenance. The aircraft have now flown more than 1,000 hours total, and Yellowhead Helicopters reported that the helicopters changed customer perceptions and fit well into its fleet, while maintenance staff praised the Honeywell support and ease of upkeep.
