Viridian Glass Increases Stock Visibility To 97%

Viridian Glass, Australia’s largest glass manufacturer and supplier, faced significant warehouse inefficiencies at its Dandenong distribution centre: repeated manual handling, poor location accuracy (around 25% per location), three full‑time staff spent daily searching for stock, and four disruptive wall‑to‑wall stocktakes per year. To address this, Viridian engaged Honeywell (working with VoiceID and Icon Integration) and adopted Honeywell’s A700 voice picking solution alongside an SAP WMS to modernize its stock processes.

Honeywell’s voice‑enabled solution and SAP WMS delivered hands‑free workflows for putaway, picking, internal moves and outbound tasks, enabling real‑time tracking and safer forklift operation. As a result, location accuracy rose from 25% to 86% in three months and is now tracking at 97%, cyclic counts replaced full stocktakes, labour costs and search time fell, and overall delivery and inventory visibility improved. Honeywell’s deployment thus significantly boosted Viridian Glass’s productivity, accuracy and safety.
