HOJ Engineering needed a highly flexible, scalable order-fulfillment solution for an online retailer to handle rising volumes, peak surges, continuous replenishment and simplified storage/slotting. Honeywell delivered the solution through Honeywell Intelligrated USS vertical sortation technology, providing a high-speed, space-efficient system designed for future growth.

Honeywell installed 10 vertical conveyors integrated with horizontal sortation to create 60 delivery locations and 120 pick zones (2 per location), routing totes direct-to-zone and zone-to-zone while keeping pick lanes clear. The system supports 350,000 SKUs from thousands of suppliers, handles 50,000 orders per day and provides roughly 33% additional capacity during peaks, improving labor utilization, reducing handling and eliminating the need for re-slotting.
