Sweet Results for Nirani Sugar Industries with PlantCruise by Experion®
Nirani Sugar Industries, located in Mudhol, processes 15,000 tons of sugarcane per day and operates a 67 MW co‑generation plant. Facing shortages of cane, water, power and manpower and under pressure to improve plant efficiency, Nirani evaluated automation options and selected Honeywell’s PlantCruise by Experion as the preferred solution.
Honeywell, working with channel partner SPA Instruments, implemented PlantCruise by Experion (using C300 controllers) at the site in October 2012. The Honeywell solution—designed for SME plants—improved operational efficiency and reliability, produced measurable savings in water consumption and manpower, and after two crushing seasons Nirani is satisfied and investigating additional function blocks to extend benefits.
