Supports Accurate Real-Time Distribution Network Analysis

Evides Waterbedrijf, which supplies drinking water to 2.5 million customers in the Netherlands, needed accurate, real-time measurement of turbidity and flow across its distribution network to replace a manual, outdated data‑collection process and support its strategic goal of digitising primary processes. To meet this need, Evides incorporated a standpipe measuring solution that included Honeywell’s Q4000 electromagnetic water meter.

Honeywell supplied the Q4000 as part of the standpipe solution, providing fast continuous sampling, high accuracy over a wide flow range, 10‑year battery life and bi‑directional outputs for easy data logging and AMR integration. The Honeywell Q4000 enabled real‑time recording of turbidity, flow and GPS location, automated analysis of drainage actions, reduced maintenance needs (no calibration required) and helped lower network pressures to reduce leakage risk—improving network control and leakage monitoring for Evides Waterbedrijf.
