Case Study: StandardAero achieves secure, unobtrusive visitor access with Honeywell e-Escort (MAXPRO VMS & Pro-Watch)

A Honeywell Case Study

Preview of the StandardAero Case Study

StandardAero takes electronic security to new heights with e-Escort

StandardAero, a global aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul provider, needed a way to keep its hangars secure while letting visiting pilots and owners stay with their aircraft throughout service—without the inconvenience and manpower cost of continuous employee escorts. To solve that challenge the company deployed Honeywell technology, implementing an “e-Escort” approach that uses Pro-Watch® badge programming together with Honeywell HD4 and ACUIX™ cameras and MAXPRO® VMS.

Honeywell’s solution tags visitor badges in Pro-Watch so RFID sensors trigger Honeywell cameras as visitors move through zones, allowing operators to track guests on MAXPRO VMS instead of assigning a physical escort. The result for StandardAero has been a better customer experience and reduced reliance on escorts, stronger perceived aircraft security, interest from the Department of Homeland Security, and plans to expand the Honeywell e‑Escort program to other facilities.
