A Honeywell Case Study
Morristown Airport, a general aviation reliever handling more than 220,000 flight operations a year, needed to improve public-area security because their existing system couldn’t meet expansion, web-based access, and aesthetic requirements. They worked with integrator Service Works, Inc. and selected Honeywell products — including Digital Video Manager (DVM), Pro-Watch access control, HD6/HD4 cameras, multi-technology readers and Smart Pass — to provide an IP-based, scalable camera and gate access solution.
Service Works reengineered the installation with Honeywell to replace legacy equipment and deliver an integrated DVM/Pro-Watch system with motion-triggered camera tracking, emergency-ready access controls, and matched domes for facility aesthetics. The Honeywell solution centralized operations, enabled exception-based monitoring that made operations coordinators more efficient with existing staff, delivered significant cost savings, and provided a scalable platform (including future wireless/mobile capabilities) that materially increased security for tenants, users and the surrounding community.
