The Seattle Seahawks faced Black Friday–style crowds at their in-stadium pro shop and needed a way to speed checkout so fans wouldn’t miss game action. To meet that challenge, the team deployed Honeywell’s Captuvo SL22 Sled for Apple® iPod Touch® as part of a complete pro shop remodel to enable mobile point-of-sale and faster transactions.

Honeywell’s Captuvo, combined with eMobilePOS for OpSuite and integrated by POSitive Technology into the Seahawks’ Microsoft RMS, turned iPod Touch devices into mobile POS terminals with built-in barcode scanning and payment processing. The solution reduced average three- to four-item sales to under a minute, produced virtually no lines and drove record sales at the grand opening, while also cutting associate training time to five–10 minutes and providing real-time inventory visibility.
