Honeywell’s Intermec CN3 devices and 3i Infotech software replaced paper workflows with a paperless system that lets officers swipe licenses, capture touchscreen signatures, print tickets via Bluetooth and dock devices to upload data to court and police databases. The solution cut transcription errors dramatically—1,000 citations issued in the first two weeks with under a 2% error rate—reduced duplicate data entry, saved labor and costs, and is being expanded department-wide with Honeywell technology.
