Middle East Gas Processing Facility Views the Complete Picture with Asset Manager

Leading Middle-East Gas Processor, the developer of one of the region’s largest energy projects, faced the challenge of ensuring world-class reliability across more than 1,000 critical assets (about 911 rotary and 200 static). Its existing ECM program relied mainly on vibration monitoring and lacked integrated process parameter data, limiting the team’s ability to see how process conditions affected equipment health. Honeywell’s Asset Manager was selected to address these gaps.

Honeywell installed and configured Asset Manager as the central ECM platform, integrating data from Experion® PKS, control loops, field devices, LIMS, corrosion systems, SAP and OPC sources to provide real-time visualization, alerts and reporting. The solution streamlined workflows, improved early fault detection and enabled correlation of process parameters with equipment performance—leading to measurable gains such as identifying two pumps running in parallel (when only one was needed) and saving 15 MgW a year—resulting in extended asset life and more reliable operations.
