Jersey Post Delivers Winning Service with Robust Track-And-Trace Capabilities

Jersey Post, the licensed universal mail provider for the Bailiwick of Jersey serving ~100,000 residents, faced a 196% rise in parcels and growing customer demand for real-time delivery visibility. Outdated, bulky handhelds prevented full track-and-trace coverage across its network, so Jersey Post turned to Honeywell (alongside partners Symec Technologies and Skillweb) to modernize its mobile devices using Honeywell Dolphin CT50 handheld computers.

Skillweb’s SmartTask POD software was deployed on Honeywell Dolphin CT50 devices—featuring 2D scanning, remote management and an Android-capable, all-touch interface—enabling consistent tracking across 124 delivery routes (including 54 walking/cycling routes). The Honeywell solution delivered greater delivery visibility and responsiveness, reduced undelivered parcels, improved first-time delivery rates, and positioned Jersey Post to roll out new value-added services via the Android platform.
