Intimo Lingerie, a leading Australian lingerie brand, faced slow, error-prone paper-based picking at its Port Melbourne distribution centre and needed a faster, more accurate warehouse solution. To address this, Intimo worked with VoiceID to trial Honeywell’s hands-free voice picking and scanning technology, including the Honeywell A710 Talkman, SRX2 headset, 8670 Bluetooth Ring Scanner (first Australian deployment) and Honeywell CK3X handheld computer.

Following a four-hour POC that highlighted a potential 50% productivity gain, Intimo deployed Manhattan SCALE WMS integrated with Honeywell’s voice and scanning hardware. The Honeywell solution delivered measurable results: a 30% rise in productivity, ability for pickers to handle up to 24 orders at once versus six previously, real-time stock tracking, faster deliveries and improved accuracy and safety on the warehouse floor.
