A Honeywell Case Study

Preview of the Alarm Systems, Inc. Case Study

How the city of Quincy, Illinois integrated and enhanced their security

Alarm Systems, Inc. (ASI), a security integrator with over 40 years’ experience, was engaged to modernize Quincy, Illinois’s aging municipal security system that spanned 11 municipal buildings in a city of about 40,000. ASI partnered with Honeywell, selecting Honeywell’s Pro‑Watch access control platform integrated with MAXPRO VMS to replace a hard-to-service, segmented system and provide a centralized, mobile-capable, updateable security solution.

Honeywell implemented Pro‑Watch with MAXPRO VMS to create a single, connected security platform centralized at city hall that unified police, fire, city hall, the central garage, water plant, municipal airport and other sites. The deployment allowed reuse of existing equipment to lower costs, standardized operations and training with a common interface, enabled event routing and automated responses, and made it easy to scale to additional public and private locations—delivering improved operator effectiveness, reduced installation and training costs, and a demonstrable ROI from the Honeywell solution.
