Honeywell’s Integrated Fire And Security Solution Helps Ensure The Integrity Of Italy’s Largest Data Center

Aruba.it’s Global Cloud Data Center (IT3) in Ponte San Pietro needed to guarantee facility integrity, reduce fire and smoke incidents, and prevent intrusions to remain attractive to enterprise customers. To meet those objectives Aruba.it engaged Honeywell to provide an integrated fire and security solution combining surveillance, access control, intrusion detection and advanced fire detection/suppression technologies.

Honeywell designed, installed and now maintains the system—deploying DVM600 CCTV with about 300 Honeywell cameras, Galaxy intruder and access control, Temaline people management, Notifier fire panels with VESDA/FAAST early warning smoke detection, IG-541 inert gas suppression and EBI R500 integration. Honeywell’s solution delivers immediate automated camera activation on alarm, centralized monitoring on datawall displays and faster incident appraisal and response; the result is reduced operational risk, stronger data‑center protection for clients and a modular platform that can scale with Aruba.it’s future needs.
