Honeywell’s Integrated Control and Safety Systems for Wison FLNG

The Floating LNG Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) faced a complex automation challenge: integrate ship and process control systems for a 600 MMscf/d regasification plant with a 25,000 m3 storage tank while managing installation, interface coordination and on-site adjustments. Honeywell was selected to deliver an open, user-friendly solution, bringing its Experion® family (including Experion PKS/ePKS) and Safety Manager products plus related safety, fire & gas and field device management capabilities.

Honeywell implemented ePKS DCS, Safety Manager SIS (with SIL3/ISA Secure certifications), ESD, fire & gas systems, HIPPS, Field Device Manager and full engineering services, using CDA protocol for seamless integration. The integrated Honeywell solution enabled the automation system to be completed one month ahead of schedule, reduced project cost by 2%, delivered a flexible, human-centric control platform and improved return on investment, earning praise from the customer and contractor.
