Honeywell’s integrated control and safety expertise helps HLJOC’s offshore oil platform start production ahead of schedule

Hoang Long Joint Operating Company (HLJOC), one of Vietnam’s largest oil and gas joint ventures and the operator of the Te Giac Trang (TGT) field, needed a robust integrated control and safety system (ICSS) for its H04 wellhead platform to ensure safe offshore extraction, processing and timely start-up. HLJOC selected Honeywell Process Solutions (Honeywell) as EPC for electrical, instrument & telecom (EIT) systems to supply the ICSS, including the Experion PKS DCS and Safety Manager platforms, fire & gas detection, communications and power systems.

Honeywell delivered a turnkey solution—Experion PKS with C300 controllers, Safety Manager with USIO, Honeywell Analytic gas and flame detectors, Digital Video Manager, an engineered E‑House and full telecoms—integrated to provide unified process control and safety. The Honeywell implementation enabled HLJOC to start production 37 days ahead of schedule (cutting overall project time by about three months), and supports TGT production of 40,000–55,000 barrels of oil per day and roughly 30 million cubic feet of gas, while improving incident response, uptime and operational safety.
