Honeywell Vocollect Voice Becomes a Marketing and Sales Tool to Help Jordano’s Expand Business

Jordano’s, Inc is a family- and employee-owned foodservice and beverage distributor serving about 1,700 customers from a 100,000 sq. ft. distribution center in California. Facing the need to improve order accuracy and comply with increasing food safety and traceability mandates, Jordano’s moved away from paper-based picking and partnered with Honeywell (via BFC) to deploy the Honeywell Vocollect voice solution, including Vocollect headsets and mobile devices.

Honeywell’s Vocollect voice solution was rolled out across freezer, cooler and dry goods areas (including freezer-certified SRX2 headsets), giving workers hands-free, voice-directed picking and detailed traceability data. The Honeywell deployment drove a 93% reduction in order errors (now about one error per 14,000 cases, up to 99.995% picking accuracy), a 19% productivity gain (135 → 160 cases/hour), 50% faster training, tens of thousands of dollars saved annually, fewer single-workflow pickers (34 → 24), strong worker satisfaction, and an ROI in under 12 months.
