LG Life Sciences engaged Honeywell to assess and improve its fire and gas (F&G) detection as the site prepared for potential expansion. Facing the need for earlier gas‑leak detection and a clear evaluation of the remaining lifecycle and capacity of existing safety systems, the customer selected Honeywell’s Fire & Gas mapping analysis using the GCV (Gas Cloud Validation) software to quantify detection coverage and define improvement requirements.

Honeywell conducted site surveys, built a 3‑D plant model, and performed Geographic coverage assessments with GCV, producing a comprehensive report that identified coverage gaps and recommended specific actions—relocating or adding detectors, adopting new detection techniques, and planning a full F&G system upgrade. Honeywell’s quantitative coverage maps and prioritized recommendations gave LG Life Sciences clear, measurable guidance to improve detection coverage, reduce risk, and support future expansion while aligning the site with current industry standards.
