A Honeywell Case Study
Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) operates CL-415 and AW139 aircraft for maritime surveillance, search and rescue and firefighting, but was struggling with hard-to-obtain CL-415 avionics, long repair lead times and unpredictable maintenance costs. To keep its fleet flight-ready and budgets manageable, MMEA and its maintenance partners turned to Honeywell and the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP).
Honeywell’s HAPP provided fixed-price coverage, priority access to genuine parts through its SPEX spares-exchange program, 24/7 AOG support, loan units and expedited repairs. The result: avionics repair costs dropped about 20–30% per aircraft, CL-415 components are returned roughly 75% faster (turnaround cut from ~4 weeks to ~1 week), and overall aircraft availability and serviceability for MMEA significantly improved.
