Food Producer Alatoni Ltd Optimises Its Labelling Processes with the A-Class Print Engine

Alatoni, a British producer of Mediterranean foods, faced repeated labelling errors, material waste and overtime because labels were printed days ahead of production, causing wrong cartons to be shipped and delivery delays. To address this, Alatoni chose a solution using Honeywell’s Datamax‑O’Neil A‑Class print engine integrated into Codeology P100 print‑and‑apply systems to meet compact‑footprint and high‑throughput requirements.

Codeology installed two P100 applicators with the Datamax‑O’Neil A‑Class print engines (Honeywell), including an opposite‑hand unit to fit the tight space, enabling true on‑demand printing and immediate application as cartons pass the line. The Honeywell‑based solution cut mislabels and material waste, removed the need for cross‑department overtime, and now labels 5,000–7,000 cartons per day, boosting productivity, punctual deliveries, customer satisfaction and revenues while virtually eliminating downtime.
