Case Study: PepsiCo achieves scalable, supported access control across 300+ locations with Honeywell Pro-Watch

A Honeywell Case Study

Preview of the Pepsico Case Study

Facing the sudden end-of-life of their legacy access control software, here’s how a global packaged goods leader used internal security audits and Honeywell Pro-Watch® Software superior flexibility and scalability to re-gain it at more than 300 locations.

Pepsico was forced to replace its legacy access control software after the vendor abruptly announced end-of-life, putting security for more than 300 locations and 100,000+ employees at risk. To meet stringent compliance, scalability and cost-of-ownership requirements, Pepsico selected Honeywell’s Pro‑Watch security integrated management suite as the replacement.

Honeywell worked with certified integrators to deploy Pro‑Watch’s web-based workstations, remote badging, reporting, alarm/event monitoring and Logical Device Exceptions while leveraging existing hardware. The implementation gave Pepsico centralized, scalable access control across 300+ sites, reduced total cost of ownership, enabled remote security management, and—per Pepsico—resulted in three years with no significant failures, outcomes Honeywell attributes to its software and ongoing support.
