A Honeywell Case Study
ClarkDietrich Building Systems, a national manufacturer operating 13 facilities, faced fragmented data-collection platforms after its merger and needed to standardize on a single mobile device with better wireless performance and an integrated extended-range scanner. ClarkDietrich chose Intermec by Honeywell (Honeywell) CK71 mobile computers with N‑radio and the EX25 2D extended-range imager, and planned to use Honeywell SmartSystems with the ScanNGo feature for deployment and management.
Honeywell remotely configured and deployed the CK71 units using SmartSystems/ScanNGo—setting radio, network and application settings at corporate HQ so devices could be shipped preconfigured to each site—eliminating onsite IT travel. The rollout delivered faster wireless connections, seamless barcode integration, centralized remote management, improved operational efficiency across 13 locations, and saved ClarkDietrich more than $50,000 in travel and deployment costs.
