ADS-B Upgrades Keep Canadian Operator Flying in the U.S

Mid-Canada Mod Center (MCMC) faced a time-sensitive challenge to complete FAA-mandated ADS-B upgrades so Canadian operators could continue flying into U.S. airspace before the January 1, 2020 deadline. Partnering with Honeywell and using Honeywell ADS-B Out equipment and the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP), MCMC needed a fast, low-impact solution that wouldn’t disrupt schedules or require additional crew training.

Honeywell supplied certified ADS-B Out avionics, coordinated parts and scheduling with MCMC, and backed installs with HAPP support; as a result, upgraded Learjet 45s were returned in about two weeks, flights into U.S. airspace remained uninterrupted, no extra crew training was needed, and service bulletin work was covered at no additional charge—delivering faster turnarounds, predictable costs, and reliable AOG support.
