HoloLab Meets AEC Industry Customer Needs

HoloLab, a Tokyo-based mixed reality company, faced the challenge of visualizing extremely large and complex BIM, CAD, and point cloud models in AR on mobile devices. Their software, mixpace, was constrained by the limited local rendering capacity of AR hardware, which led to performance degradation, instability, and crashes for their AEC industry customers.

To overcome this, Hololight provided its XR streaming SDK, which was integrated into mixpace. This solution offloaded the intensive rendering process to powerful local servers or the cloud. As a result, Hololight enabled HoloLab to fluidly visualize massive datasets, including a 5,000,000-polygon 3D mesh and a 25,000,000-point point cloud, removing all previous device performance limits and ensuring high data security.
