Clone:it Digitizes the Construction Industry with XR Streaming and AI

clone:it, an Austrian startup focused on digitizing the construction industry, faced the challenge of an inefficient, time-consuming, and resource-intensive process for inspecting rebar reinforcement on construction sites. Their goal was to modernize this analogue workflow, which relied on printed 2D drawings and manual supervision.

In collaboration with vendor Hololight, clone:it implemented a solution using Hololight's XR Streaming technology. This allowed for the visualization of large, complex BIM data on mobile devices via augmented reality. The solution, which runs on secure remote servers, enabled on-site comparisons between plans and reality. Integrated AI modules detected errors and generated automated inspection reports. As a result, Hololight's technology helped clone:it save significant time and money on projects, allowing inspections to be performed faster and by less experienced personnel.
