Case Study: LINE GAMES improves multidimensional gaming analytics with Holistics

A Holistics Case Study

Preview of the LINE GAMES Case Study

Leveraging multidimensional data to understand gaming behavior

LINE GAMES, the Seoul-based gaming company behind titles like Destiny Child, needed a better way to understand player behavior and manage user-acquisition costs across a diverse global audience. Its small data team had been manually preparing weekly Excel reports from Microsoft SQL Server BI data, which made it hard to combine internal and external data and quickly analyze key metrics for different user groups and markets.

Using Holistics, LINE GAMES built a multidimensional analytics workflow that connected to its internal data warehouse, automated reporting with email schedules, and enabled self-service exploration with filters, metrics, no-quote functions, and data imports for sources like Google Spreadsheets. Holistics helped the company reduce manual reporting work by about half, improve productivity by 80% to 100%, and save as much as two days of work per week while making it easier to track DAU, user acquisition costs, sales, and purchase ratios for faster marketing and business decisions.
