A HOL Case Study
The Arts House, a historic arts venue in Singapore, faced the challenge of making a parliamentary history exhibition accessible and engaging for a wide range of audiences, including adults, tourists, school groups, and families. The exhibition's dense content and narrow physical space made it difficult to hold the attention of younger visitors and accommodate large groups. To navigate these constraints, The Arts House commissioned HOL to design a guided tour experience.
HOL designed customized audience-led tours for each segment. For the public, they created content-driven storytelling; for school groups, they incorporated competitive elements and handling artefacts; and for families, they focused on key highlights to facilitate intergenerational sharing. HOL's solution was highly successful, conducting 439 tours for thousands of attendees. Visitors gained a renewed appreciation for Singapore's founding fathers, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with requests for tours in other languages and for the experience to become permanent.
