Clear Creek Independent School District, the 29th largest district in Texas with more than 39,000 students across 43 schools, struggled to meet the state’s 4x4 graduation requirements while relying on paper course plans and manual CTE tracking. Those inefficient processes made it hard for counselors to communicate elective and CTE options, track prerequisites and codes, and produce reliable data for planning and reporting.

The district adopted Naviance Course Planner, used completion reports and principal accountability to drive adoption, and achieved 100% electronic course-plan completion. Students can now view and build course plans at home, CTE courses are grouped by cluster and sorted to reflect prerequisites, completed plans export into the course scheduler to speed registration, and the district gained more accurate data and operational savings (about $86,993 in Naviance eDocs savings in 2012–13).
