Transcontinental, a large North American printing company, needed a better way to manage IT projects and resources across a distributed organization. HMS Software deployed Microsoft Project Server 2003, Project Professional 2003, Project Web Access, and supporting Microsoft technologies such as Windows 2003, SharePoint Services, and SQL Server 2000. The new centralized platform gave Transcontinental complete visibility into 100 percent of IT resources and project data, improved collaboration and communication, and helped the company better prioritize workload and allocate resources. The rollout took six months, and the company reported improved on-time, on-budget delivery for its projects.
