AMD needed a modern way to capture engineering time across its global workforce after its legacy standalone system reached end of life. The company wanted a cloud-based solution that could support accurate project billing, financial reporting, and future forecasting while fitting the needs of a worldwide engineering organization. HMS Software’s TimeControl Online was selected to replace the old system.

HMS Software implemented TimeControl Online with custom integrations to AMD’s HR, project inventory, and reporting systems, allowing timesheets to be prefilled, user profiles to update automatically, and time data to flow into dashboards and forecasting tools. The result was a smoother go-live, reduced IT maintenance and support burden, and more timely, meaningful reporting, with AMD saying project progress data is now never stale and is updated in near real time.
